The new peat reduced formula is definitely poor compared with the original traditional version. It contains a large amount of woody material. Whether the plants actually thrive will be discovered later. Unfortunately, compost of this quality is probably the best we can hope for in the peat free era...

I have used a umber of bags of this excellent compost over the past few seasons and I am greatly impressed with its quality.
It has a wonderful texture and its constitution allows the plants to thrive and grow wonderfully well. It far outgrows many other composts I have tried over the years. I can't recommend it highly enough.
