NT Labs Aquarium Starter Kit contains 2 essential products to get your aquarium up and running and safe for fish. NT Labs Tap Water Safe 30ml removes chlorine and other halogens as well as chloramine and heavy metals which are toxic to fish and found in tap water. Tap Water Safe also contains a special protective coating which aids in the reduction of stress which can be caused in the transport of newly introduced fish. NT Labs Filter Starter 30ml provides a live culture of "friendly" nitrifying bacteria which aid in the breakdown of fish waste and convert deadly toxins such as ammonia and nitrite into much less harmful nitrates via a process called oxidation. Adding Filter Start to a new aquarium helps to activate the filter which is the life support system to any any healthy aquarium.
